Homemade Chicken Shawarma Recipe Method:
Step#1
First of all, you’ve to combine the marinade ingredients in a large-size ziplock bag or bowl. Then, add the chicken and use your clean hands to make sure each piece is fully coated. If you’re using a ziplock bag, you will find it convenient to close the bag and then massage the bag to disperse the rub all over each of your chicken pieces.
Step #2
You have to marinate it overnight for up to 24 hours. Then, combine the Yoghurt Sauce ingredients in a simple bowl and mix very well. Now, cover it and put it in your fridge until you require it. However, it will last for three days in the fridge.
Step #3
You have to heat your grill/BBQ medium-high. After that, you should not need to oil it because your marinade has oil in it, and also thigh fillets have fat. But in case you are worried then oil your hotplate/grill.
Step #4
Here you can place chicken on the grill and then cook the first side for almost four to five minutes until nicely charred, then turn and cook the other side for three to four minutes.
Step #5
Finally, remove your chicken from the grill and cover it loosely with foil. Set it aside to rest for a minimum of five minutes.
To Serve:
- Slice this chicken and pile onto the best platter alongside flatbreads, Salad, and the Yoghurt Sauce.
- Moreover, to make a wrap, just get a piece of flatbread and smear it with Yoghurt Sauce. You can top it with a bit of lettuce and tomato and Chicken Shawarma. Lastly, roll up and enjoy!
