- Six chicken thighs almost 1 lb total, skinless, boneless, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- Half cup of yellow onions chopped
- Two celery stalks chopped
- Two small carrots fully diced
- One leek is thinly sliced but the white part only
- Half stick butter
- Two Tbsp of the all-purpose flour
- Two tsp. of mild curry powder or medium/hot
- Five cups of chicken stock
- Half apple cored and fully chopped
- 1/4 cup of the simple white rice
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper just to taste
- 1/8 tsp. of the ground nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp. of the dried thyme
For garnish:
- Just one cup of heavy cream heated
- Fully chopped fresh parsley
Method of Heinz Mulligatawny Soup:
Step #1
Firstly, you need to saute onions, celery, leeks, carrots, and some quantity of butter in a large size pot over medium heat until they start to soften, for almost eight to ten minutes.

After that, add your flour and the curry, and then just cook over medium heat for almost five more minutes.
