How to make sweet and sour pork?
To make sweet and sour pork you have to cut pork into consistently sized pieces, about one-inch cubes for even cooking. And then use the standard breading technique and coat the pork with flour, some egg, then flour.

- One pound pork butt, you’ve to cut into one inch cubes
- One teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon of the white sugar
- One teaspoon soy sauce
- One egg white
- Two green onions, chopped
- One quart vegetable oil for frying
- ½ cup of the cornstarch
- One tablespoon vegetable oil
- Three stalks of celery, cut into half-inch pieces
- One medium green bell pepper, cut into one-inch pieces
- One medium onion, cut into wedges
- White sugar just for taste
- Salt just for taste
- Almost one cup of freshwater
- ¼ teaspoon of table salt
- ⅓ cups of apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup of the ketchup
- Half teaspoon soy sauce
- Eight-ounce pineapple chunks
- Two tablespoons cornstarch
Method of Sweet and Sour Pork Chowking Recipe:
Step #1
Firstly place cubed pork in a normal size bowl, and season with just one teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon sugar, and one teaspoon soy sauce. After that, mix in the egg white and some green onions. Now you’ve to cover it and place it in the refrigerator at least for one hour.

Heat one-quart oil to 365 degrees F in a very large size saucepan or deep fryer coat the pork with half a cup cornstarch, and fry it in the heated oil for about ten minutes, until evenly browned. Now you’ve drained it on paper towels.

Heat one tablespoon oil in a simple wok over medium heat and then stir in the celery, green bell pepper, and some onion, and cook until very tender. Season it with table salt and sugar. Now remove from heat, and then set it aside for some time.

Now, in a heavy saucepan, mix one cup of water, 1/4 teaspoon table salt, 3/4 cup of sugar, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, and half a teaspoon of soy sauce. Then bring it to a boil, and stir it constantly in the cooked pork, celery mixture, and pineapple chunks with some juice. Return to boil, and mix it in two tablespoons of cornstarch and 1/4 cup water to thicken the mixture. And then cook until well blended.
