Pizza Puff Method #1:
First of all, you have to preheat your oven to 375 degrees and then grease a muffin pan in the best way. After that, you need to combine flour, baking powder, and spices in a separate bowl. Then add in some milk and one egg and stir constantly to combine it. Now you can stir in shredded cheese, red pepper, and pepperoni, and then allow the mixture to stand for almost 10 minutes. After that, you can divide among the muffin wells. Then just cut each cheese string into three pieces and gently press one of its pieces into the center of each muffin.
In the end, bake it until lightly browned and puffed about just twenty minutes. You have to serve it with the freshly prepared warm pizza sauce for dipping.
Ingredients of Pizza Pocket Recipe:
- 14.5 oz of the fire-roasted tomatoes
- 6 oz of the tomato paste
- Five sprigs rosemary
- Ten sprigs thyme
- 5 oz of the dried pepperoni chopped
- 8 oz package of shredded mozzarella cheese
- Half a cup of chopped parsley
- Salt and pepper just for taste
- One batch of puff pastry
- One egg beat
Pizza Pocket – Method #2
Firstly you need to preheat the oven to almost 450 degrees F.
Then you have to puree the fire-roasted tomatoes and the simple tomato paste in your food processor until it becomes smooth. After that you have to place the tomatoes in a simple saucepan, add the rosemary and thyme, and cook over medium heat for almost ten minutes, you have to stir it frequently. This will give you the herbs time to infuse this tomato sauce with its flavor. At that time just turn the heat off and add all the chopped pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, and parsley.
Again stir it all together and taste it for the seasoning. Add some quantity of salt and pepper as required. After that roll out the unique puff pastry and cut the rectangles from the dough with a common knife or the pizza cutter, and then place a spoonful of the delicious pepperoni pizza sauce on one side of the puff pastry. Now you need to dip your finger in the beaten egg line one side of the rectangle fully and fold your puff pastry square over so it creates a unique pocket. You need to crimp all the edges with a fork, and then place your pizza pocket on a sheet pan.
Repeat the same process with the remaining puff pastry and pizza sauce, and then brush all the tops with egg wash. Bake it in your oven for almost 20-25 minutes until the puff pastry is fully golden brown and puffed. Now you can serve the deep-fried pizza puffs while hot.
